Hamburger Cake & Telephone

This looks like a real hamburger, and although it was weird to eat, especially with the sesame seeds on top, it was delicious - a sponge cake filled with chocolate mousse (meat patty), fresh kiwis (lettuce) and strawberries (tomato), fresh cream (mayo), and the "cheese" was mango mousse.

This Hamburger Phone (Cheeseburger Phone) will make you as sharp-tongued and clever as movie Juno, and it will definitely make your cubicle as quirky as her bedroom.

Japan is so obsessed with Kentucky Fried Chicken (kfc) on christmas.

Japan is so obsessed with Kentucky Fried Chicken (kfc) on christmas. Some people even order months in advance to avoid lines.

This was a dedicated marketing scheme by KFC in Japan to associate KFC with Christmas. Christmas was never really popularly celebrated until the '90s, and even now it's considered a holiday mostly for couples or families with small children. When people started hearing about Christmas, KFC took advantage of the fact that people associate KFC with America and undertook a massive, multi-year marketing campaign. Clearly, it worked, and KFC has exerted market dominance ever since. In fact, they've even gone as far as introducing a special set for Christmas - Japanese people associate cake with Christmas as well, so KFC came up with a fried chicken bucket that has a cardboard bottom with a Christmas cake underneath.

Some Japanese people might think Americans eat fried chicken on Christmas, but it's mostly just the result of a massive ad campaign by KFC.

Side effects of Soda

Here are some Side effects from soda, lets see how soda harms our body. This is also a way to aware people about it. So share these facts with your friends and family. Lets see...

1. Phosphoric Acid - Weakens bones and rots teeth.

2. Excessive artificial sweeteners makes you crave more.

3. Carmel Color - made from the chemical caramel, is purley cosmetic, it doesn't add flavor yet is tainted with carcinogens.

4. Formaldehyde - Carcingen, it is not added in soda but when you digest aspartame, it will break down into 2 amino acids and methanol = formic acid + formaldehyde (diet sodas).

5. High fructose corn syrup is a concentrated from sugar, fructose derived from corn. It increases body fat, cholesterol and triglycerides and it also makes you hungry.

6. Potassium Benzoate = preservative that can be broken down to benzene in your body. Keep your soda in the sun and benzene = Carcinogen.

7. Food dyes = impaired brain function, hyperactive behaviour, difficulty focussing, lack of impulse control.

8. Caramel Cancer-Causers - In 2011, the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest petitioned the Food and Drug Administration to ban the artificial caramel coloring used to make Coke, Pepsi, and other colas brown. The reason: Two contaminants in the coloring, 2-methylimidazole and 4-methylimidazole, have been found to cause cancer in animals, a threat the group says is unnecessary, considering that the coloring is purely cosmetic. According to California’s strict Proposition 65 list of chemicals known to cause cancer, just 16 micrograms per person per day of 4-methylimidazole is enough to pose a cancer threat, and most popular brown colas, both diet and regular, contain 200 micrograms per 20-ounce bottle.

9. Accelerated Aging - Diet or regular, all colas contain phosphates, or phosphoric acid, a weak acid that gives colas their tangy flavor and improves their shelf life. Although it exists in many whole foods, such as meat, dairy, and nuts, too much phosphoric acid can lead to heart and kidney problems, muscle loss, and osteoporosis, and one study suggests it could trigger accelerated aging. The study, published in a 2010 issue of the FASEB Journal, found that the excessive phosphate levels found in sodas caused lab rats to die a full five weeks earlier than the rats whose diets had more normal phosphate levels–a disturbing trend considering that soda manufacturers have been increasing the levels of phosphoric acid in their products over the past few decades.

10. Mountain Dew Mind - Dentists have a name for the condition they see in kids who drink too much Mountain Dew. They wind up with a "Mountain Dew Mouth," full of cavities caused by the drink's excessive sugar levels. "Mountain Dew Mind" may be the next medical condition that gets named after the stuff. An ingredient called brominated vegetable oil, or BVO, added to prevent the flavoring from separating from the drink, is an industrial chemical used as a flame retardant in plastics. Also found in other citrus-based soft drinks and sports drinks, the chemical has been known to cause memory loss and nerve disorders when consumed in large quantities. Researchers also suspect that, like brominated flame retardants used in furniture foam, the chemical builds up in body fat, possibly causing behavioral problems, infertility, and lesions on heart muscles over time.

After 125 years, secret Coke formula is out.

Since it was first made in 1886, the Coca-Cola formula is one of the most fiercely guarded trade secrets of the corporate world. Many claimed to have found it, but the mystery of Merchandise 7X, the name given to the combination of secret ingredients which gives the soft drinks its distinctive taste, has endured.

Now an american public radio show claims to have found the recipe kept in an Atlanta steel vault and which, it is said, only two employees at a time know how to mix. The two never fly together.

'This American Life', broadcast on more than 500 stations, said it found the recipe in a 40-year-old newspaper. Its website thisamericanlife.org said the Atlanta Journal-Constitution published the photo of a book containing a hand written replica of the original recipe on February 8,1979.
